Excalibur XT 2-Stage 40,000 BTU Furnace w/Digital Thermostat is a great 40,000 BTU Heating Solution. These Atwood XT 2-Stage Furnaces are dimensionally identical to the Excalibur 8900 Series Furnace and can directly replace them.
(NOTE) However, the digital thermostat is a Three Wire (3 wire) Thermostat. The standard heat only 8900 series furnace uses the common 2 wire thermostat. You will need to provide 3 wires between the XT furnace and the digital thermostat.

DESIGNED TO BE ENERGY EFFICIENT
Unique 2-Stage System - Set the temperature, turn the thermostat on "automatic" and let the furnace take over! During cold start-ups, the furnace operates on High Burn, High Fan for a quick, quiet warm up. THEN, when the temperature is reached, the furnace automatically switches to Low Burn and Low Fan speed to maintain the comfortable environment you want.
SELF DIAGNOSTIC CAPABILITY
These furnaces are designed for long life but if you ever need service, it's made easier with built in self-diagnostics. A flashing LED indicates low or improper voltage input, ignition failure, switches, etc, for possible time and money savings.
ADVANCED DIGITAL THERMOSTAT
Provides 13 heating/cooling functions. It can even control the furnace and the roof top air conditioners. The compact size, low profile, lightweight construction and vertical installation make these furnaces truly versatile. All of these units have Electronic Ignition. These furnaces are 12 Volts DC with low Amp Draw of 7.2 on LOW and 15.7 on HIGH. These units measure 16 1/2'' W x 9 1/8'' H x 23 1/2'' L and have a Cut-Out size of 19 1/2 '' W x 9 7/8 '' H. The Exterior Door is the same door used on the 8900 Series Furnaces and is sold separately. These 2-Stage units directly replace the Atwood 8900 Series Furnace.
